Four Woburn firefighter recruits have new certifications following their graduation from the state firefighting academy. (Shutterstock)WOBURN, MA — Four Woburn firefighter recruits graduated from the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy in Stow last week, completing their 50-day career recruit firefighting training program, Fire Chief Donald Kenton announced on Monday.Joseph Lilley, John Koster, Mark Iannacci & Robert Rafferty Jr. were four of 26 total graduates from 13 Massachusetts departments. They received classroom training and practice opportunities under controlled fire conditions, among other things, as noted in a state announcement.
