Local The boil water notice was lifted Friday, two days after water samples tested positive for E. coli. Water boil orders that were issued Thursday in the towns of North Attleboro and Plainville due to positive E. coli tests were lifted Friday afternoon. Residents in both towns were told to boil any tap water before use after routine testing found traces of E. coli. The boil water order was lifted for both towns as of 4 p.m. Friday after further testing found that the town's water was safe for public use.
