MANSFIELD, Mass. — A tornado touched down in North Attleboro and Mansfield on Friday morning as severe storms left a trail of destruction across Southeastern Massachusetts. The National Weather Service confirmed in a statement that one of its survey teams was able to confirm that a tornado did touch down in those communities. 'Further details regarding EF-rating and start and end locations are still pending the completion of the storm survey,' the NWS said. The survey team is currently hard at work assessing additional damage in other nearby towns.
